LAUGHLIN CONSTABLE / ORGANIC CONTENT

REFRESHING CONTENT FOR WHAT’S NEXT

In addition to my client work at Laughlin Constable (LC), I was one of three folks dedicated to scrappily supporting their social and content channels, strategically and creatively. This was a special focus for the agency at the time, as LC was celebrating a 40 year anniversary and refreshed look and feel led by a new ethos: Taking clients from Now to Next.

While we coordinated cross-functionally with members of the blog and content teams, our main focus was build out assets for the relaunch of the company's Instagram, with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and even Spotify content falling out of that primary channel.

Visual Strategy

We played on the history of LC by leveraging a more vintage, faded feel and marrying that with the neon pinks and yellows from the new brand palette to help images and brand elements (like that Griffin logo) pop in-feed.

Content Strategy

Riding the momentum of LC’s 40th anniversary, our strategy was to develop assets that showcased the reason behind our staying power: the talented team and their creative-powered thinking. Not only would this demonstrate our chops to the industry or potential clients, it would also attract new talent by giving them a glimpse of the dynamic team behind the work.

January Theme: Get to Work

March Theme: Who Run the World

December Theme: Holiday Play

Spotify Albums

As part of the content strategy, we wanted to start and grow LC’s Spotify profile—knowing music is nearly synonymous with creative work. Each month, we assigned an LC-er to put together a playlist, then we developed album art for that soundtrack to showcase our design thinking, while helping our albums stand out in-feed.

Mugshot Monday

In addition to Day in the Life content and Spotify albums, we developed a weekly content series featuring photos of LC-ers’ favorite mugs, paired with a caption that would give scrollers a glimpse into the life of that particular person.
