DIY-ING THE KEY TO YOUR CART

From packing your own groceries to uniquely-branded items, ALDI loyalists love all the unique ways the grocery chain helps them save money. In fact, we noticed they loved ALDI's quarter-operated shopping carts so much that they were making and selling their own “quarter keepers.”

To celebrate ALDI loyalists and build off their love for the brand, our team designed an activation that would enable customers to create their own ALDI-made and approved "quarter keepers.”

Role:
Copywriting

We first considered designing a line of quarter keepers for fans to pick up or vote on, but ultimately felt it was more powerful to put the designs in the hands of the fanbase.

To create an even playing field, we decided to build out a microsite that would give every fan the tools to create, submit and view other quarter keeper designs. After submissions closed, our goal would be to then select our top 10 favorites & have the community help us whittle it down to 5.
